About Me

I began Iyengar yoga in 2013 from a martial arts background and soon found the practice had a profound shape on my life, benefitting both body and mind.  Being keen to share the benefits of yoga, I qualified to teach in 2013.   Through my years of  practice and training,  I am able to bring experience and depth to my classes.

I continually update my training and have been fortunate to travel to India on multiple occasions to study with the Iyengar family.  The commitment to ongoing learning and authentic practice defines my approach and teaching style.  Through undertaking additional training and assessment, I am an Intermediate Level Instructor (Level 2) and an IY(UK) Mentor for teacher training.

My classes have a broad spectrum of students, from beginners to intermediate practitioners.  I am dedicated to guiding others on their own journey with an emphasis on safe personalised practice that reflects my years of experience and study.

All Iyengar yoga teachers are trained to rigorously high standards.  After training regularly with a qualified teacher for a minimum of three consecutive years, candidates undertake a two year teacher training programme followed by the Introductory Level assessment.  Once qualified, teachers must continue training regularly and complete professional development training each year in order to maintain their membership of the Association.  In this way the care and precision that characterises Iyengar yoga is maintained.

These high teaching standards are part of the reason Iyengar yoga is the most widely performed method of yoga worldwide.  Our Certification Mark  is the guarantee of this quality.

Maintaining standards of excellence in training and continuing education in the Iyengar method of yoga.
